Software - Data Acquisition / Tests / Analysis Technical Support Group is a specialized group particularly in test software that communicates with the data acquisition and control systems. This test software under the EASYTEST brand and family are actualized at 2 levels, which are the user interface at PC-level or the Embedded software. Also as a category, it gathers in 4 sections as Test software focused specifically on (i) Data Acquisition/Monitoring/Recording, (ii) System Control, (iii) Data Analysis and (iv) Specific Tests. Technical Support Group, besides the reliable software packages, which are used in the laboratories for many years and continuously developing, such as EASYTEST-NETWORK, ANALYZE, BASIC, eQLAB, SERVOCONTROL and SHAKETABLE, they also have the software infrastructure that can be customized according to the project requirements. For example, some special analysis algorithms or test flow scenarios can be added to the software package sometimes in a few days or in the order of weeks. One of the most well-known samples of such add-ons has been the EASYTEST-SHAKETABLE-svdask, which has been developed in a few weeks due to a limited time for the competitions on "Earthquake Resistant Structural Design" organized by DASK (TCIP) for two years, and which can make the calculation of displacement and score by the real-time acceleration data while making the models exercise a real earthquake by the shake table. Behind the success of these software solutions of the Technical Support Group, there is an experienced software team and agile project management methods are used.

Therefore; it is a discipline that ranks at the top in terms of testing costs and budgets and that has the largest laboratory space where laboratory and field tests are carried out very intensively.

Structural Health Monitoring – SHM is a very important non-damaged (NDT) test and analysis technology especially for the Earthquake Engineering and generally for Civil Engineering.  It is based on measuring the behavior exhibited by the structure under various loads through the accelerometers and on making analysis on the behaviors of the building on the basis of these results without creating any damage or load on an existing structure.

Ballistic Measurement Systems

Technical Support Group TESTLAB-BLASTER solvation,  is a test system developed for various ballistic measurements, especially for the quality control and the compliance with standards tests of bullets and capsules. The system has already been put into practice in many MKEK factories and private fireworks factories and is working successfully. Speed shutters are used in order to measure the speed of the bullet velocity. These speed shutters are positioned at a specific distance from each other and the time elapsed for the bullet to run from one speed shutter to the other is determined through a high resolution time counter, and then transferred to the data acquisition system. In addition, this speed measurement can be verified with the data acquired by the radar speed sensor. TESTLAB-BLASTER is desined in order to maintain the control of the entire test environment, to display and record the experiment carried out and the data sent by the sensors, and to report them graphically and numerically. The system is basically divided into two main categories, namely hardware and software. As hardware, the system consists of several sensors and the data acquisition units manufactured in high-speed and precision in accordance with the objective of the measurement. The system uses 2 piezoelectric pressure sensors with high precision. In addition to the pressure sensors, Speed Shutters and again Doppler Radar for the speed measurement purpose can be used. In order to initiate the data recording, a trigger box is also available to act as a trigger. TESTLAB-BLASTER is supported by a high-precision data acquisition system having a high data acquisition speed rate. This data acquisition system can be a NI-PXI type system or a TESTBOX2001, 2010. Its trigger signal and the barrel end flame sensor are used as the singals that start and stop the data to be received from the pressure sensors. The system calculates all the necessary results for the internal ballistic measurements automatically with the data received from the pressure sensors. The software starts recording with the first ignition signal received from the trigger. It stops recording the pressure data with the signal received from the flame detector of the barrel end or from the sensor of other type. The software of the system is designed to work on Windows Operating System. TESTLAB-BLASTER has an interface which is user-friendly and easy to use. It allows the user to complete the required calibration, calculation, displaying and recording processes without being lost in the unnecessary details. It calculates bursting pressure from the pressure sensors, and calculates the flying speed from the speed shutters and the doppler radar.
